Expat Exposed is an information and community site that lays out the downside of emigrating to New Zealand, and helps potential and current expats help themselves through networking and emotional support.

As a matter of policy, Expat Exposed does not run ads. While we're happy to shoulder the site costs, some people have voiced a desire to donate cash—and we'd be jerks to refuse an offer like that.

NZ Statistics..............a Fairy Tale?????

PostPosted: Sun Aug 01, 2010 12:22 pm
I learned yesterday from a reliable source that income statistics in NZ are not what they appear to be. He has been a statistician that worked with income data in a government department. He collected, analysed and passed on the analysis to senior official’s. There was always a mismatch of what he worked out and what was officially published. My source has a math major in statistics. So he is competent to comment on it.
BTW, he had to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
The official ones were always quite a bit higher than the stats he worked out!!
